Evaluation of Preliminary task

This preliminary task has thought me a lot of new skills that i could apply to my final magazine, from using id to researching other pupils previous work there is a lot of   things that i can take back and consider for my own work. making the magazine was harder then i thought it to be as i have never used id, but i have learnt how to use it later on when making my music magazine and it will be much easier and will not take as long because i will need all the time i can get. i am quit happy with the school magazine that i have made considering the fact that i am new to inDesign could use a few adjustments such as the mast head because its not as i wanted it to be.

The image that i have chosen fits to the genre of the magazine, the image is off a student looking rather pleased as they receive their results, this is relevant because this whole issue is about the best results ever. the colour scheme was the same throughout i did this because it looks more sophisticated
the font also remains the same due to the same reasons. i added a sell line as this will attract people and it is very common on magazines, i put it into a circle so it could bring more attention to it. i did not entirely stick to my design ideas as i had some technical difficulties with embeding the images and making it fit in the background so i chose another image of me that was a mid shot.

The contents page was just as i imagined it to be, the font and color scheme was kept constant through out as this was sophisticated and it looked better. the contents page includes many photos of different parts of the school this gives the reader an insight of what the school has to offer.

I believe the magazine that i have created it good enough for some one who has never used inDesign. the masthead is bold and eye catchy so it will attract people its also different its not how a normal magazine mast head would be. also the image for the front cover was relevant to what the genre of the magazine is because this issue of the magazine is all about the best results ever

The magazine didn't look very appealing, there are a few things that i didn't place on the magazine that i should have like an online interaction information such as social networks like twitter or Facebook as this is very common magazines.
