Production diary 12

In this lesson of media i have made the small touches that needed to be made to my magazine, i took on board the comments that were made by my class mates that i have also recorded and will place on my blog, this feed back has helped me to improve my magazine, i also have a better understanding of what an audience look for in a magazine. What i found when taking feedback from class mates was that they all commented on similar things that needed to be improved such as the contents page and the fact that the text was too big and that there was way to much space, i have confronted this problem by making text smaller and placing more images, and to not make my contents page gender bias i added images of males also. With regards to the front cover there  are things that i personally disliked about it, and these are things like the color scheme was too basic, the masthead was also too basic and i fixed this problem by spicing things up a bit by using fonts from Dafont and placing a much more suitable fancy text that went well with the overall look of the magazine. In the next lesson i will complete the touch ups and will complete my evaluations for my magazine at home.

So far in media i have completed my feature article and have almost completed my contents and front cover however there are a few adjustments that need to be made. I also need to replace my Google images with my photo shoot images which will take a while as the photo shoot that i had previously done wasn't to my taste so i will be doing it again in a few weeks, this whole process will take approximately 2-3 lessons. After this i will get to creating my real magazine.

Production diary 11

So far in media I have completed my feature article and contents page, and am going on to further planning for the ways in which I can market my magazine to the general public, I have made posts on how I can do this. I will be completing a mood board for ideas that have influenced me while making the magazine, these are just a few images of artists and magazines, just general things that will help me and the audience have a better understanding of what my magazine covers. I have made a post of name ideas that I have come up with before choosing a final one for the final magazine, this will give me a better understanding of what kind of genre my magazine is, the masthead is a magazine is very important as it tells you the genre of the magazine just by looking at it so it was worth looking at a few different ideas to help me come to a final decision. There is also a post of how social media will help me to market and advertise my magazine, different social media such as Facebook and Twitter. I have placed a post of feedback from some of my friends to see what they thought of my magazine and what they think I can do to make it better.
